It’s hard to believe that that 2022 football season is right around the corner. It just seems like yesterday softball and baseball were finishing their spring seasons.
I want to thank everyone for all your continued support of SOCoPrepSports.com. Since we launched the site in January 2021, we have had more than 31,000 visitors, and you all have graciously welcomed me back home with open arms. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to cover some of the best high school student athletes in the country.
This season, SOCoPrepSports is taking it to the next level with some changes to the website. As we wish to continue to deliver the best possible stories and photos and eventually expand our coverage, we will be implementing the following membership options, along with other exciting features.
A SOCoPrepSports Standard Membership is absolutely free. This membership tier includes some free stories, full access to the scoreboard and a monthly e-newsletter.
Premium
A SOCoPrepSports Premium Membership will cost $7/month or $60/year. This membership tier includes all features from the standard membership plus access to all stories, videos and photos and the all-new message board, along with articles sent automatically to your email. Premium members will also be eligible for free swag at games that SOCoPrepSports attends.
Photo Galleries
Photos will no longer be available for purchase under the free membership tier, however galleries will be easier to access for premium members. No more going through an external party like Fotomoto. All the photos available will be in a gallery where digital prints will be available to members for just $10 a piece. In addition, your premium membership will get you a code for two free photos that you can use at any time.
Message Boards
SOCoPrepSports wants to keep the discussion going beyond the daily coverage, so premium members will have the opportunity to post on already created topics in the message board or even start your own topic if there is something you want to discuss.
The obvious question is, why make these changes? Why start charging people? SOCoPrepSports.com wants to provide the best possible coverage of South Orange County high school sports. Unfortunately, nothing is free, and we need community support to continue making the best possible product.
I look forward to getting back out there and telling your student athletes’ stories.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
Again, thank you all for giving me your continued support.
